No, Set Jet is not an airline and as a Set Jet Member your expectation should not be what one might expect when traveling on an airline.

For starters, Set Jet does not publish a schedule like the airlines do. This is a regulatory restriction and although we wish we could, we simply cannot legally. Our booking engine is proprietary and quite simple to use but it is also different than what you might expect. However, once you try it, you’ll find that it’s very easy to book a flight or buy a seat on an existing flight.

Set Jet does not fly as frequently as the airlines do either, so if you’re looking to have the availability and frequency of flights that the airlines do, Set Jet is probably not a fit for you. Set Jet typically flies from two to four times per week between each of the destination cities listed on our website and we will continue to add flights until we are flying as much as once per day, per destination city. However, if you’ve ever chartered or owned a private jet and are familiar with the costs involved, you will absolutely recognize and appreciate the incredible value of being a Set Jet Member and flying private with us.

On the other hand, if you are contemplating whether or not the $99.95 monthly Membership Fee is worth it based on how often or how little you may fly with us, Set Jet is probably not a good fit for you. Consider this; although our Members can fly as often as they wish and we encourage that, if you pay the one-time $99.95 Security Check Fee, plus the $99.95 monthly Membership Fee for an entire year, and during that year you fly just ONE round trip with Set Jet between any of our domestic regional destination cities for approximately $1500 (including taxes and fees), you will have spent a total of approximately $2,700 to fly on one of our luxurious, large body Bombardier Challenger 850s, with 13-15 seat ultra-VIP interiors. Alternatively, if you were to charter a small or mid-sized jet to do that same trip, you can expect to pay $20,000-$30,000 round trip.

So if you’re looking for an airline experience, Set Jet is not for you. But if you’ve ever flown private or contemplated flying private and are aware of the costs involved, you will find that Set Jet provides an unparalleled value and a five-star, true private jet experience for a small fraction of the cost of any other fly private options.

FAQs

Flying with Set Jet

Children will be allowed to enroll as Members upon request, provided however, that the Primary Member agrees that the children will not adversely affect the experience of any other Member during a flight or at our Member Lounge. If they do, then they will no longer be allowed to fly with you.
To book a flight and/or buy a seat through Set Jet, please login as a Member and click on book a flight. You may also consult with one of our representatives at any of our private terminals. Acceptable methods of payment are Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express. No cash, checks or money orders will be accepted.
Although we recommend booking a flight and/or buying a seat as far in advance as possible, Set Jet allows its Members to buy a seat on an existing Member’s flight (i.e., a flight which has been originated by another Member) up to thirty (30) minutes prior to departure without a price premium (subject to availability). However, if you are booking a flight (i.e., you are the Member who originates a flight), you must do so a minimum of twenty four (24) hours prior to the desired departure time for domestic flights and seven (7) days prior to the desired departure time for international flights.
If you book a flight, that means you are originating the flight. When you book a flight, we refer to you as “Member One” for that flight. If you are buying a seat, you are simply buying a seat on an existing flight which has already been originated by another Member.
If you book a flight and are what we refer to as “Member One” for that flight, you are responsible for designating the departure city, the arrival city, as well as the date and time of the flight. You also agree to pay for your seat(s) and make the remaining seats that you are not buying on that flight available for purchase to all other approved Set Jet Members through Set Jet’s (Members only) website.
There is no minimum participation requirement from other Members in order for your flight to occur. In consideration of you making the unused seats on your flight available for purchase to your fellow Set Jet Members, Set Jet guarantees that your flight will occur regardless of whether or not any additional Members actually buy any of the available seats and join you on your flight, (subject to the Terms and Conditions herein).
All flight originations and seat purchases are available on a one-way basis only. However, you may book two (2) one-way flights or buy two (2) one-way seats (or a combination thereof) simultaneously and facilitate the equivalent of a round trip.
In the event (for any reason) you miss your flight and do NOT use the seat that you purchased, you will NOT be provided a refund and will have to purchase a replacement seat, if needed.
Set Jet facilitates flights exclusively on Bombardier Challenger 850 aircraft but reserves the right to substitute the aircraft being used, if necessary.
On rare occasions, due to circumstances beyond our control, it may be necessary for Set Jet to facilitate flights on jet aircraft other than the Bombardier Challenger 850.
